The technician failed to perform the necessary computer pre-check before starting the smog test. Because my battery had been recently disconnected, my vehicle's computer did not have enough mileage data for a complete, accurate test—a known issue that should have been caught by the pre-check. Anthony is an amazing manager! I called on Friday night before closing to ask if they had appointments for the following morning. He said it's first come, first served, but they usually don't start getting customers until 9am. I arrived at 8 when they opened and was first in line, just like he said. Anthony mentioned an online coupon, so they charged $39.95 for the smog and about $8 to send the paperwork to the DMV for the smog check. I was in and out of there so quickly.
