ripped off In June of 2010 I purchased all my appliances for my new home from Mark(owner) of Discount Vacuum. My parents had also purchased their applainces for a new home 5 years earlier. We had spoken highly of them and recommended them to others many times for the low prices on their appliances. I told Mark I would be picking up my appliances first part of August. The Best I bought my stove top from Discount Vacuum when we updated our appliances. They had great selection and prices. Lately, I have found them to have the best prices for my Kenmore appliance part needs. Far better than ordering from Sears which has to be done on line and shipped to you. The great people at Discount Vacuum are pleasant, helpful, and get your orders usually the next day if it is not in stock. So much better than waiting for a UPS delivery. Check out both their locations--you won't regret it.
BUYER BEWARE: DECEPTIVE PRACTICES I bought a microwave from them recently. Unboxed it. Found a sheet inside the box stating it was refurbished I neither asked for or was told I was buying anything other than a new microwave. There was NO sign indicating it was refurbished. When I called them, the person I spoke with had the "I could care less." attitude. Seems as though no one can be trusted thes days. .In the future when buying my "granny drawers" at WalMart, I'll be sure to ask if they're refurbished.
Purchased a "refurbished" washer. During the sales pitch, I was assured that all used appliances undergo testing and repair and will be in good working condition. Within five minutes of my first wash cycle, the washer began to leak water. There was half a gallon of water soaking through my wood floors. A leak of that magnitude would have been easily detected if the machine was actually tested for functionality. I have a unique circumstance which makes it hard for me to take it back. I have bought many appliances and vacuums here, enough to furnish 2 completes homes and offices. I have shopped elsewhere in town, and they always beat competitors prices. Love the service also. thanks
Do not use this place! They deinstalled my appliance. Ordered parts..did not discuss price with me..repaired without my consent. Kept my appliance for 6 weeks. The person who answers the phone whom I assume is the owner is incredibly rude. i will be turning them in to the BBB. I would rate them with the worst customer service I have ever encountered.
Parts pricing is ridiculous. Bought part on line for $2.75 with no tax and free delivery and they wanted $16.18 plus tax. Have to wait 3 day for delivery but so what.
Best place to do business. Ask for Rob and you will get a great service and education about the product your looking for. Great service is what I got when I purchased my refrigerator.
Buyer Beware! 8 months after receiving a defective oven, no resolution reached, no credit to my account, no replacement unit. Here's a bit of a warning - if you have a problem, dispute your credit card charge immediately, if you wait too long you have no way of getting your money back. I was on the phone with my bank and they gave me some hooey company name and phone number to call so the issue seemed like it was resolved... nope, they just gave me the number of another appliance sales place. Crooks!
