Customer Service I am writing this review to thank Matt for EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and honesty when I shared with Matt my concern regarding stress fractures on my tires. I have been a faithful customer with Discount Tire since 1970 (Ann Arbor location on Stadium). I always do my rotations on my vehicles at the Livonia Store since my return to Detroit. Discount Tires I bought a $1000 worth of new tires yesterday and within the driving distance of 30 miles my front tire driver side went flat. I was stranded at the old town library in Fort Collins and so I called my insurance company to use my roadside recovery to get help. The first recovery service that was called, Shauns Towing in Fort Collins, was suppose to show up within 60 minutes of my insurance company making the necessary arrangements. Disocunt tire warranty I recently went to discount tire with a problem with my drivers rear tire. the sidewall had some cracks with metal belt starting to go through cracks. The tires on my truck are only 15 months old and were 4/32 under warranty. when they put this information in their computer it only gave me a $30 pro rata credit. The cost of replacing the tire was $40 more than the cost of the original tire. Basically their tire warranty is worthless. Won't stop again My husband and I stopped at the Loveland store on HWY 34 as we were on vacation and noticed that a front tire had a bulge and a crack in it. We stopped to see if we could get the front 2 tires replaced on a 2005 Ford F-150. We have the industry standard tires on our truck and the sales rep told us that he thought he had some in stock but that we should get the more "popular" size (which means all 4 tires being replace). Avoid. Dishonest! I came into his location to have my summer wheels/tired put on. Lucas Rosten, Senior assistant manager, informed me that since one of the tires has wear, he had to replace all 4 as this was Subaru's policy, and Discount Tire's policy was to abide by all Manufacturer policies. It was quite obvious that Lucas was attempting to lie to make a sale. When I requested to see the policy in writing he got very upset, yelling, rude and told me I was no longer welcome there. Scary place!!! Beware, this store do not replace a defective tire even though a free placement certificate was purchased. They would trick you by placing the defective tire to the rear where the vibration is less noticeable. They thought I wouldn't notice, very sneaky. I'm definitely not going back, now that I know how they run their business. I'm not letting them near my car again.

I'm not a sucker My wife got a flat, so I took her tire to Discount Tire (in Bountiful) to get it repaired. I was told that she must have driven on the flat because the tire was ruined, and that I would have to buy two new tires. (So they would match and not cause damage to the car) I found the receipt of where I had purchased the tire, and took it to Les Schwab where I had purchased it. I told them what had happened. They did a full inspection of the tire and said that the only damage was from the little puncture and that t... read more
