I reached out for some suggestions, not making any purchase, and I received the longest most thoughtful reply. Incredibly kind even with no transaction taking place. I have never had a stranger put in so much effort.

These folks were great! My uncle and I showed up not really knowing what we were doing and they took their time to teach us about things we should do, not only to care for the Koi but what we can and should do with our pond. They clearly have a passion for this and are happy to help others foster that passion. Thank you! Highly recommended.

Discount Koi is a decent option for hobbyists looking for affordable koi and occasional hidden gems without paying top-tier dealer prices. From what I’ve seen, they’re stronger for pond-grade to mid-grade fish rather than true high-end show quality, but they can still have some nice pattern potential if you know how to pick koi carefully. Good place for building experience, growing out fish, and stocking a pond without completely financially detonating yourself over imported carp.
