Bad customer service, bad craftsmanship, really bad mechanics. Visit 1 (Approx $1500): Took my car to this shop after telling them that it stopped while been driven. I towed the car to them about 9am and spoke to Anwar Khan (Owner) and explained that it just stopped and that all the lights on the dash came on and that the car needed to be checked. Several weeks ago, I was prepared to pay $1,000 for an a/c repair with the local bougie car repair company, that is now on every corner in Katy. I actually like (& somewhat trust) the fancy place. However, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Discount Car Care fixed my a/c for next to nothing. They fixed a leak in less than 20 minutes! They admitted that there is a small chance I would return in a few weeks, & would have to pay for a more complecated procedure. I have not had to return yet. I had the timing belt and water pump done at the Discount Care Car in September 2014. When I first picked up my truck I immediately had to take it back to them because they had not reconnected a hose in the front after doing the timing belt/waterpump. They fix it and when I get it home I turn the truck off and it took about 3 seconds to actually shut off. So I brought it back and the mechanic told me "it's not a big deal" and instead of fixing it, he adjusted the throttle and as a result the timing was never corrected. Why h... read more

Reputable Local Katy Shop This car facility is one of the better ones in Katy. They towed my Tahoe for free diagnoised it was the transmission within 30 minutes. Gave me an estimate which was fair, nothing close to free but fair. Had the truck a 1/2 day longer than expected but compensated a small portion of the final bill for the delay which was fine by me. They also give a 2 year 24000 mile warranty on all parts and labor which gave me assurance.

Great Place To Service Your Car – They staff at discount car care was extraordinary! Quite honestly I was scared to go into any shop without my husband around. But at the time he was on sight overseas (He works for an oil company). But Jimmy the manager was a very friendly guy. Very INFORMATIVE, and thats what I thought was the best about him. Beware!!! Being an experienced car builder myself, I chose this place for a/c compressor clutch replacement because it's a hard job without having a car lift (which I don't have in my garage), and limited time having a 5month old son. Quoted me $300, didn't do the job on time, and then told me it'll be >$500 due to "extra" time. I knew I was conned at that time as I'm experienced at car repairs, including engine/transmission work.
