Since they were a retro gaming store, I asked if they had any Dreamcast games since I am a huge fan of that system. They said that if I liked the Dreamcast, that I would love the Dreamcast 2 that Sega was finishing development on and that pre-orders for the system would be $35.00 down. (The system would be $150 according to them). They said they had exclusive rights to take pre-orders before GameStop and that it would be several more months if you wanted to buy it elsewhere. Sega is done making consoles and they know it!
This is a GREAT store! The only one worth visiting for retro gaming in the NW Indiana area. They have a superb collection of Atari 2600/5200/7800, Nintendo NES, Nintendo SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega CD and other retro favorites in edition to an absolutely huge collection of original XBOX games, original PlayStation & PS2 games, GameBoy/GameBoy Color/GBA carts, Nintendo 64, WII, DreamCast, Sega Saturn and many many others! Plus lots of strategy guides, books, music CDs & DVD movies.
Mediocre service. I purchased a game system that was used and it did not include the power cords, I had to go back to get it. The cash and credit they give you back is less than other places like Gamestop. Also the store smells.
I don't recommend going there especially not with children. The staff were unprofessional and argumentative. They seemed like they were high or drunk. We specifically asked if the Nintendo came with the wires and were told yes. They weren't all there. Don't expect anything to work if you shop there.
You may have seen that some think these guys are rude, as long as you don't try to have any form of conversation with the store manager, Robert, then you should get along fine. What sucks is that when you sell older games they have this sorta preset limit as to what they'll pay: $5 max. Regardless of what they sell it for. I get that their here to make a profit, but often times they sell older games for 10 or more times the $5 payout limit. Rude ripoffs!! Worst store in battle creek!
I've visited this store several times, and phoned with always excellent, polite service. Why the other review...anyway. My experience with this company has been all positive. They aren't the only place selling pre-used video games and consoles. The store has a diverse array of electronics and games which constantly changes. I haven't been subjected to hard sell tactics, which I strongly prefer. I educate myself and research before I buy anything, but even so the staff has been happy to fill in with missing information.
The best game store around, in my opinion. They have great prices on games new and old alike, and have a wide variety of products from the beginning of gaming to now (a serious edge over GameStop).
They suck , they give you a 14 day warranty on new items as well I'd. Rather spend the extra money next door at Game Stop
