I was helped so much by Disability Rights of Texas. I was able to complete the Intake Process with ease, and speak with someone who demonstrated the knowledge to help me navigate a very difficult situation with my former employer. I was walked through processes for filing complaints with other state and federal agency's, as well as getting assistance with the TWC Vocational Rehabilitation program. I am so amazed at their sincere involvement in my child's best interest! Disability Rights Texas and Mr. Terry Anstee have successfully fought and helped my special needs child to keep Medicaid for the last 10-11 years! They go above and beyond the call… even called numerous times to check on my family following storms or health issues….. You should definitely give them a call, you’ll be glad you did!

I contacted DRTX after running into roadblocks at Vocational Rehabilitation. My advocate Jeanie has been nothing short of phenomenal. She is kind, caring and a fierce advocate for me. There is no way I could accomplish half the stuff I have with DVR without her help. I worked with DVR in another state about 15 years ago and had similar problems and ultimately pushed into a job I was fired from. I approached them for help with a case where a medical clinic in my community was discriminating against me for not allowing me to have home visits, I did the research on my own I did most of the look up before I even approach them and they spent more time disproving my case than helping me, I don't know exactly what this organizations mission is but it's obviously not helping people with disabilities, if they were there to actually help people with disabilities they would work diligently alongside the person to solve the is... read more
