I love the look of your place and presentation of your food, that's the good. I asked Google to direct me to the best Chicken Fried Steak in Lubbock. I ordered the Steak Fingers with Fried Okra and mashed potatoes. Your CFS was like school cafeteria food, only with less flavor. Been here twice now ! Did the Nashville hot the first time and classic fried this time…. Classic fried is my #1! Flavor, moist, perfect texture of the fry! Highly recommend The sides are top notch as well ! The green beans, the cheddar grits, and the fried okra can’t be beat! I’ve had a lot of fried chicken but Dirks has it down . (Reasonable pricing and a great bar menu as well ) Wish they were open later but otherwise perfect.
Editing this since it’s been 5 years. Very disappointed with recent experience. A few party members were on the way during lunch and we had a time crunch and wanted to start our orders early. They gave away our table while our people were in the car on the way. Terrible service. Won’t be back. Old review: Just ate here. Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. It’s so worth the price.
