I recently experienced a low voltage failure on my whole house generator. I had tested for the “basics” with no luck, so I knew I was out of my league technically. I sent an email to Dirfy that weekend expecting I’d be lucky to hear back from someone in a week. Update 9/4/2025: Well here we go again! Serviced on 8/26/2025 lost power early this morning and low and behold a generator that starts but doesn't run anything in the house with an alarm saying L2 Phase Over Voltage! Have called twice already, left 2 messages and as of yet no response! What does DIRFY stand for?? It sure isn't what we were sold on when deciding to go with this company! I have always known manning was an issue with this company, but they were at least reliable. We had a service agreement, and I really thought that if an issue were to arise they would have my back, it looks like I was mistaken. The Nor'easter that hit Maine in April 2024, took out my generator after about 2-1/2 days of continuous run time. The odd thing was my generator had it regular maintenance completed only 1 week prior. After the storm, I contacted DIRFY to evaluate and fix the generator. Apparently this business has gone downhill fairly quickly. They came highly recommended but they don't answer their phone and they don't return phone calls or messages. Front of house doesn't seem to know how to keep track of phone calls and who to call for service reminders etc. I recently had a call for a place I caretake for and they were supposed to call me when the technician was on his way so I could meet him and they did not. The tech said there was nothing wrong with the generator and then again a couple weeks later ... read more
We have been without out generator since the storm. A branch took out the feed line. We have made several calls and emails with no response. Not a good way to run a business. We signed up for their service and they never call back. Not happy
