This company is amazing! California escrow companies come across many situations where the seller is subject to IRS withholding because of the seller's "foreign person" status. This process and its rules can be complicated and overwhelming to sellers and for the escrow company handling the closing. Michael Brooks and Directs, LLP are experts and make the process easy. They have provided great advice and tax service to our customers for many years.
I wish there was a "ZERO" rating These guys are “GOUGING” $2700 for a basic State tax return which I just secured for $225 in Palm Springs. They gouged me when I needed the 15% sent back and I ATE it due to time constraints. I will be leaving this feedback on local social media wherever they have offices… so be warned they are NOT REPUTABLE.. charging 12X as much as anyone else!! I will also alert my Canadian friends to these people.
