I left without having my gastroscopy because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with Dr Mohammad Shir Ali. My appointment was at 2:30 pm. After repeated calls asking me to arrive earlier, I arrived around 1:30–1:40 pm. Following a lengthy wait, I questioned the order patients were being called in and received conflicting explanations. I arrived today for for a gastric procedure. I informed the lady receptionist that I needed to get an uber home as my lift home was unavailable. We were watching the small screen tv and a news story came up where a couple had murdered their housemate. In walked a nurse named Courtney who pronounced ‘I’ve wanted to kill a roommate’ which shocked and silenced both the receptionist and I. I had my endoscopy and colonoscopy today, and I had a positive experience. Everyone on the team was so kind, gentle, professional, and caring. The procedure went smoothly, biopsies were taken, and I have very little discomfort afterwards. A sincere thank you to the nurse, doctor, and anaesthesiologist for making me feel comfortable and well looked after throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this team!
A huge thanks to Direct Endoscopy Hampton East for the outstanding care I received on 07/07/2026. From the moment I arrived, every staff member was professional, kind, and welcoming. All staff from Lewellen at the reception to Mary-Lou who looked after me after the procedure, treated me with genuine care, making what could have been a stressful experience so much easier.
