They don’t give you sandwiches after your colonoscopy.
I had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy at Hampton on 17th February 2026. Excellent facilities and staff (doctors and nurses) were very attentive. The biggest issue is the booking system - one central phone number for all locations! Callers get put on hold with the repetitive message and it is a constant round of phone tag. Why can’t you have separate booking numbers for each location which will save a lot of time and frustration for both patients and staff.
Staff and specialist are very good and I would have recommended the place if it wasn't for the terrible anaesthetist. She decided to put the cannula into my mid arm instead of the hand and missed the vein. She pushed the anaesthetic in and I said it was really burning, turns out she was injecting straight into my muscle. She said I was going to fall asleep but I told her I was wide awake. Has done all the preparations the days before my procedure only to receive a text message that my appointment had been cancelled( disappointed but accepted due to the power outages that previous evening) BUT was advised I would be contacted to reschedule, this never happened . Their client service, care and considering is rubbish.
Staff were excellent at Direct Endoscopy - Hampton East on 15/07/2025 My only complaint was when I woke up from the anesthestic. I got up too soon and they should have Not let me get up so quickly to get dressed as I fell and landed on my bum. I was a bit sore! Thankfully I'm not that old. Anyone else might have not been so lucky! Apart from that, I was grateful to all the staff to have the procedure so quickly except to be out of pocket $300. Kind Regards Mark G. Ingles
