Rec pool lifeguards are required to enforce safety according to the lowest common denominator of swimmer. As a result, they’ll just tell you off for rules that aren’t posted anywhere on the webpage or physically in the pool — these rules appear to be arbitrarily decided upon by whoever is on deck at that moment.
