Support staff here do answer the phones. This is in contrast to some law practices where you get recorded messages. The support staff are very friendly. However, the attorney that I dealt with was neither reliable nor diligent. If you are hiring an attorney you want someone who cares and is willing to help, and to do so in a timely way.
