I had the most amazing blood draw here yesterday by a young Phlebotomist named JD. My small stature and disability make it really tricky to draw blood from without me looking like a bruised up pin cushion. This was a totally different experience though because he really took the time to do things right for me. He even made me a special tiny tourniquet, which made a huge difference! Today I have zero bruising or pain! Yeah JD!
It should not take 30 minutes to submit a sample because no one comes out of either room. Be prepared to spend an hour just to pick up a sample kit, as well, and for staff that is rude and unapologetic. They said they were “busy” (with rolled eyes) and that was the reason for the wait, but not a single other person was in the waiting room. No one even comes out to check to see if anyone was there waiting. I won’t be coming here again after a dozen horrible visits.
I've been going to Dignity Health Labs in Los Osos for several years. Their expertise and kindness is wonderful! Sometimes, there is a bit of a wait, but this should be expected when several people show up at the same time. Just a little bit of patience and they move people through pretty smoothly. This is a fun group, and I've always walked away with a smile on my face. This location is so very convenient for me, and that's important for me being differently abled.
I have been here for lab work several times and have had great experiences. The staff is friendly and efficient, Steven is wonderful, he calms my nerves and delivers a pain free draw. I highly recommend them.
so I went in today to get blood drawn for a lot of tests. My visit was 1 hr total. The longest part was just waiting for people ahead of me and getting my paperwork checked. The lady with curly hair drew my blood and unfortunately I got very sick. I’ve never had this happen before but I was gagging, turning pale, almost passing out, sweating, couldn’t feel my hands.
