After a year of treatment and a variety of CT scans, Ultrasound's and lab work, a mass was detected in my liver. A liver biopsy was next, they ordered me to go to Tupelo for the procedure. I explained to them that Tupelo is too far for me to travel. I asked if we could find a closer provider to do the biopsy. They called 2 days later and referred me to an Oncologist instead of looking for a different provider. This is robbing me of valuable time if the mass is indeed cancer. My daughter sought help from this group for over a year. She was told she had ulcers. The pain continued. At the year mark, I took control. The NP actually suggested to my daughter, after a year of treatment and a worsening condition, that she was STRESSED, and tried to prescribe anti-depressants. I was furious at this suggestion. It was obvious my daughter was wasting away before my eyes. I asked the NP to test for several things, including diabetes and vitamin deficiencies. They refused. Referred by my MD for a colonoscopy. They were informative and set everything up for me, also mailed me all the information and prescription saving me a trip to there office. Dr. Huey was very nice and everything went well.
