Called up to have my blood work faxed because they did not give me the papers when I left my appointment. Was told they always give order papers before patients leave and I had to tell them multiple times they did not. Was on the phone when I went into the medical center to get the fax number and overheard the lady on the phone talking to her coworkers saying “she’s claiming we did not give her the order papers” and laughing in the background. As much as I adore the doctor I have a genuine problem with the nurse practitioner (s) and general treatment. I go in to just renew my prescriptions, I'm led in (normal) and after I get to the room and wait... And wait... After the first 45 minutes I think "dang, they must have a big backlog!" but then the hour passes... Then another half an hour as my anxiety starts to spike. And hour and a half... And this was not just once, but twice! I'm sorry, this is actual disrespect. Never again.
I was lied to by the front office staff. I told them that I had a $50 copay at the front desk and they said that because it was my initial appointment that they do not charge for the initial appointment. Well, they lied. I not only was billed for the appointment but I never got a paper statement in the mail from Memorial and they sent me to collections. I would stay clear of this office. They don't even have their facts straight about the billing and as you can see, they have plenty of one star reviews.
I went in to this facility expecting to get a non-sedated colonoscopy which I declared on my initial visit and in two follow up phone calls. No one pushed back on that until I showed up at the surgery center to have the procedure. I had researched this and found it is not that uncommon, saves time, avoids risks of anesthesia, no recovery time, and no need for a driver. Plus I wanted to watch the procedure.
