I’ve been dealing with severe gastrointestinal issues for 13 weeks now. Endoscopy of esophagus showed no bleeding so no need for banding. GI doc said no need to make an office appointment, he would just look at my esophagus in a year to make sure no changes. Went for 2nd procedure 2/1. Has not helped, no one seems to care, meanwhile I’m still throwing up, losing my hair, losing weight, and nothing has changed. No one has called to check if gi graffin test worked. This has to be the most incompetent doctors office of all time. They sell your information without your knowledge or authorization. Never ever will I return to any of Saint Vincents facilities. While the nurses are very nice, that is where my complement will stop. They sold my information to a company that then harassed my emergency contact. Do not have these people in your life unless you want to get screwed over and receive bad care
Having been a patient with Digestive Care Center for a number of years (and being mostly satisfied with the care), I recently had a endoscopy done at DCC. While the procedure itself was without incident, I am VERY frustrated with the care provided before/after. 1) The prep instructions for the procedure didn't arrive at my house until after the procedure was completed. 2) The problem noted in an x-ray prior (and the reason for the endoscopy itself!) was never even mentioned to me or to my ride after the procedure. RecommendedDr. Pugh and ALL the staff at DCC are amazing! They treat you like a part of their family! I couldn't say enough about how well they took care of me! If it wasn't for Dr. Pugh, I would have probably never had it done!
I was very impressed with DCC Jasper. As a retired surgical nurse very familiar with endoscopies I can honestly say this was a great experience considering I had a colonoscopy! The staff were very comforting and respectful. My nurse (Heather) admitted me and stayed with me through the entire procedure, my anesthetist (Brooke) was very sweet and professional at the same time and I don't remember anything but the best "sleep" I have had in a long time! I had a wonderful experience here. Everyone was so nice. I was totally surprised to get a courtesy call from them the day after my procedure.
Iowa schedule a appointment 2 weeks for colonoscopy very unprofessional people I would not recommend this place to no one call me a day at three hours prior to my procedure to tell me it was canceled due to my health reasons why couldn't they call me Friday a very angry disabled vet if this is way they treat everyone I wouldn't recommend this place to no one again very unprofessional
My sister is autistic and has been experiencing frequent throat spasms and choking. She hasn't been able to drink anything all day. They ran a test and sent my sister and mom home with no follow up plans. My mom called back and asked for the test results and a script for something to help her before the end of the day. Obviously she can't just go on not being able to drink! The nurse was very sympathetic and promised to get the results and call my mother back.
