When Dick's Hamburgers opened in 1964, it was the first original fast food joint of the city and has been an institution ever since for burger lovers in Spokane. Don't be confused with the well-known Seattle chain, Dick' Drive-in as this is an independent eatery. Drive in to this place, take out, or dine-in and you will know why it is so popular. Dig into their whammy burgers, fries and shakes that will not only make your appetite happy but also your wallet. Everything is prepared fresh as per order. You will find roadies, f... read more

traveler This is a MUCH better "Dicks" than the ones in Seattle! Variety of serving and freshness is constant. The menu is straight forward, bottom line inexpensive and cooked fresh. It's a drive-in from the 50's that has kept the $1.00 price point in mind. You aren't going to find 5 dollar fru-fru's with lettuce here. It's a double cheese burger, dripping over a bag of fries with a quart of coca-cola for under 4 buck! It is exactly what it appears to be. And, it remains the cross-section of Spokane and the area! GREAT PLACE... read more
If you want a cheap burger that is addicting....this is the place to go.
Fast and friendly service food is of good quality and they make the best french fries. I recommend this to anyone that wants an old fashioned drive-in.
Review from a friend... My friend ate here so I have to try them out tomorrow. My friend is very hard to impress with food. He's not into fancy things and the basic thing (like taste) is what he bases himself on. He told me about DICKS burgers and this is the first time he was like" you got to try them out!!" I was dumbfounded because I never saw him so enthused. So that means something, and I am going to try them out.
the food is hit and miss food is cheap here but so is quality of the food dont expect mcdonalds taste and quality here, best for feeding bums and birds they seem to all flock here
Not the original as found in Seattle, not even related. – It must first be noted that this place is not part of the Drive In's in Seattle. The original ones which are in Seattle only are much better than this place called. Granted they may have a larger menu but original ones in Seattle have stayed true to the theme of a hamburger, fries and shake Drive in with quick service as they were founded on in 1954.
For a good cheap burg in the downtown area you can't go wrong with Dicks. The location is not the best and the shakes are not great but the burgs & fries are good for what you pay.
Dicks Burgers I would say to all the people of this world that this is the best place to eat! I have eaten there alot when I lived in Spokane....great food at a good budget. I loved the french fries and the burgers are cooked to order....and the food is great and fills you up! I so miss it! I love you Dicks burgers!!!!
American Style I agree i absolutely love Dick's Hambergers. I have only had them twice but I will never forget when i was in Spokane last year and had one i just had to have another one.
