This doctor has no concern for his patients wait time in the office. You have to wait for hours to be seen but don’t arrive late because they will refuse to see you. The doctor told me I have restless legs syndrome as he tells everyone and tried to put me on a medication that causes problems with gambling, overeating and hyper sexuality. Dr Dickoff is a very rude,ill mannered individual. He will interrupt you and rudely ask you to shut up . A total jerk. One of the worst doctors I have seen. The wait time is horrible and the receptionist Maria is just as rude and nasty as the doctor. Definitely avoid going to this doctor there are better options.
I was referred to Dr. Dickoff’s office by Doctor’s United (Yonkers) since my neurologist retired. As I waited for my appointment, I observed conversations between the receptionists and patients. I did not have good vibes about the office but I still continued to meet with Dr. Dickoff. The visit detoured from a head injury assessment to convincing me to cancel my knee replacement so he could do nerve treatment and focus on nerve strengthening. I was highly impressed by Dr. David Dickoff, professionalism, knowledge, expertise, mannerism. Most Doctors do not take time to "conversate" and to have a "real" consultation with patients. Having worked with and for Doctors for several decades, I have met quite a number. When I say that this Doctor truly stands out - I would give 10 stars if it was available.
Dr. Dickoff was exceptionally rude and arrogant, as well as very unprofessional with sharing his personal life with us as new patients. He told us specifics about his current dating practice (we never asked nor couldn’t have cared less!), and we found his comments to be repulsive for a man his age and in his profession. I called him out on his patient arrogance more than once, and I am 100% convinced that the new medicine he prescribed for my husband may have caused the pulmonary embolism that quickly killed him.
