Go in with your eyes wide open and be very critical before deciding on a home for your loved one. We didn't think we had a choice as so many facilities in the Brainerd area have waitlists. We were optimistic that we would have a good experience but should have been realistic and listened to warnings. High staff turnover is a big red flag. (Family member was a resident from Feb-April 2023.)
It’s not worth applying for this place. They will have you come in for an interview make everything seem great then ghost you. Never heard from them after they said they’d get ahold of me. Yes I called them and they still never replied. Quite rude if you ask me don’t waste your time they aren’t even hiring. They probably get paid to do interviews.
I had an interview with Patrice and Micayla on a Friday, I felt like I rocked it and was under the impression I had the job. Micayla said she wanted me to think about it over the weekend and would call me back Monday after her meeting "around 9 am". She didn't call me in the time frame she stated she would, so I had reached out to her and when she then called me, she played a completely different tune than what she had on Friday. The Lady Managing this building is verY Nice! She gave us a free couch and chair set, after ours burned up in a housefire and the log set is sooo BEAUUUUTIFULLLL!!❤️❤️❤️ Thank you So much!! We are very grateful for your generosity🤗❤️
I visit there enough to say Diamond Willow is poorly managed. The resident meal areas are left dirty long after meal time is over because their one staff is busy tending to resident needs. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out the level of care these folks are receiving with one staff tending to the needs of multiple residents.
