I am a partner of a recipient of this amazing organisation. Truly wonderful people with a fantastic mission in a huge number of facets in Canada. This foundation is not about the scholarship money, it is about the community it brings together and the amazing work they do. They, and the people they help all over Canada, deserve every piece of support they can muster. Thank you for your great work and I would encourage any student to apply here.
This foundation is wonderful, helping recognize the resilience and tenacity of those struggling with diabetes and offering scholarship programs, mentoring and support. My daughter was honoured as a scholarship recipient, the process is thorough as it should be for such an honour to be received.
My son has T1D with excellent control, on the honour roll, volunteers, works hard, however when he attempted to apply for the Diabetes Hope Foundations scholarship we eventually gave up in frustration as they make it so difficult and involved that it's just not worth the stress. Its endless requirements, essays, medical and non medical forms that need to be completed are ridiculous.('go away forms') But hey, they all have jobs paid for by donations! Also, my review similar to above was removed from their Facebook page....
