I am a Realtor who just had a closing with DHI. First, they were not communicative before the closing in regard to a credit I wanted to give to my buyer. It took days to complete something that should have been done in one email. After the closing, the deed was recorded on a Thursday around lunch time. They informed me that my commission check would be delivered by courier on Friday. It did not arrive until late Monday afternoon. As a realtor I can honestly say this was the worst title company I have dealt with. I have been in real estate for over 30 years . It was for a new home sale and I can honestly say that have never had such a horrible time connecting with and talking to an escrow officer . Calls are never returned emails were ignored. They don't like it when you try to stay on top of everything and since they are tied into the builder, they know that you really have no recourse.
