I had a similar experience as this prior review. Our GC hired DFM to ensure that our extensive new construction stormwater management system was in compliance with Arlington County's requirements. They quoted me $1250 lump sum and estimated another $750 in hourly expenses for follow-on work. I was looking for a contractor to do some paperwork for a completed landscape project per the county’s request. DFM proposed a lump sum of $1250 for the paperwork plus hourly-based charges for unexpected work (potential additional work) if the outcome of the project did not meet the county requirement and they need to revise the paperwork.
