WAIST OF TME I have never been driven to sign up and voice my disgust until now. I should have taken my first interaction with them as an accurate one. A service tech mistakenly drove down our driveway, realized he was at the wrong house and tore out causing extensive damage to our gravel drive.

Best Customer Service! I have been with DF Richard for almost 10 years now and they have been absolutely wonderful. We have had issues with the burner that they were able to take care of immediately and charged fairly. When we first moved here we went with the local man who had been taking care of the oil burner. He tried to take us "to the cleaners" when a problem with the burner arose but luckily an employee from the old company we used for 19 yrs. DF Richard Ripp Off Very high prices. I pay $3.49/ gal for propane because I have a 500 gal tank and I pay up front. Im told by their customer service reps that if I didn't pay "At Will" and my tank was 1500 gal I would be paying $2.59/ gal. Huge rip off. If I take my truck with a 20 gal tank to the gas station I would pay the same price as if I brought a motorcycle with a 5 gal tank. I don't care how much goodwill DF Richard does for the community. They can afford to because they are ripping off their customers.
AWESOME SERVICE I think this company is awesome! Their customer service is amazing...they have taken care of anything I have ever called them about. They deliver on time, efficiently and expertly respond to all service calls and answer all my questions. Many, many thanks to all the service guys who have come to my home and to Mr. Rick Card who has been a life saver. Thanks, DF Richard....you have my highest recommendations.
Expensive fuel, poor service. DF Richard has always been the most expensive dealer in the area for home heating oil and for propane. The seem to try to justify this by saying how great their service is, but it's not good. My own experience with them includes an oil burner cleaning where the service man didn't reassemble the burner correctly. A co-worker of mine had them install a gas dryer and they failed to install the conversion kit necessary to run it on propane. There are many dealers in the area with lower fuel prices a... read more
Pleasant and Fair This is not our heating oil company. We belong to an energy co-op and have a prepaid plan with a different company. But recently D.F. Richard delivered heating oil to our address by mistake. After discovering the error they graciously not only matched the co-op's price, but made it even a bit better for the oil they had already pumped into our tank. They also advised us to remove their tag from the outside pipe so as not to cause any confusion the next time our pre-paid company delivered. So even though the... read more
horrible company They delivered oil automatically when I didn't sign up for it less than 2 weeks after I had the tank filled. They sent that bill to a collection agency after I paid it. Also the bill accrued a late charge even though it was paid a week before it was due. Every time I call they just try to get me off the phone without really addressing the issue.
