Was in a&e for nearly 12 hours today before being transferred to Pinderfields but despite the length of time the staff at Dewsbury were amazing. Very caring and compassionate. Lauren and Sarah especially looked after me and tried to explain to me what was going on, as at one point I did get a bit panicky. Nobody likes to end up in hospital but honestly they made me feel looked after and cared for. I appreciate each and every one of you 🫶

Horrible experince with the chief nurse my sibling was in serious pain and she was mocked that she could still walk despite us holding her to get in as she was shaking and had been told its an “assessment room” and was rushed off the bed as if her feelings were not valid the chief nurse was rude and lacked empathy he stood over the bed and threatened to kick us out for no reason considering he is a nurse he clearly chose the wrong profession go private the nhs are rubbish

Go to the LGI or Pinderfields instead. They seem to be over zealous and pushy in prescribing pain meds without listening to the patient. The A&E department is top notch if don't want to spend ages having tests done, if you do not want a diagnosis or someone who cares enough to get to the root cause of your problem and treat that. The Doctors in this place seem to suffer from cannotbearseditis.
