My dad was so well taken care of at Devon General Hospital. The wait times may be long, but this is not the fault of the staff. They are working diligently to serve the members of our community. A special thank you to Dr. Doell for figuring out the problem and saving my dad's life!

Went last night suffering from a respiratory problem. Chose Devon hospital because a reported 10-12 hour average wait time in Edmonton ER’s. As we live in West Edmonton the drive only took us 25 minutes, likely the same amount of time to most Edmonton facilities except an 11 hour Miz wait. I saw a doctor after only a 2.5 hour wait, and was triaged rightfully I believe. All the staff were kind and attentive. The emergency doctor was very empathetic. Husband went to emergency with an abnormal heartbeat. They rushed us right in. Got my hubby hooked up and took great care of him until we waited for transfer to a different hospital a day and abit later. . Nurses are what made it bare able. I stayed over got me a chair and nice warm blankets and I wasn’t the patient. These girls are running and running and there is way too few beds and too few staff for the numbers showing up at these hospitals .. we are all so lucky the staff keep advocating for us .

Dr Zahir Amin did less than the triage nurse, not even looking at or assessing the person I brought in. We were simply given Tylenol and told to leave as a flare up that was severe enough to prevent walking was not an emergency
