Every time someone in my family has needed something, they have to go through hoops to get it. A primary care doctor can provide referrals without seeing the patient. Making them come in to see you and pay a copay just to say I can't help you is bad business. If you advise the patient has to come in, they do and they wait for 2 hours in the office to be advised that the doctor has left while you were waiting and is not available to see them for their referral until next week is a horrible practice to have.
