I am submitting this review based on someone who attended a funeral service and the reception at this funeral home was terrible. It seemed very unorganized and the room was way too small for the service. It also was very warm and uncomfortable as it was standing room only. Everything with the opening and closing of the service seemed very non-chalant - no one even realized the service was starting because they had people in another room during the calling hours before the service. Please don't EVER EVER use this funeral home! In making plans with our funeral director...we were promised that we could stay as long as we would like. Also, they promised to assist in making lunch arrangements. When we called back to discuss arrangements. We were yelled at and were told "Make your own arrangements!!!!!" During the funeral viewing, our family and friends were yelled at and told to "GET IN LINE!!" Don't use Devlin Funeral Home! We were warned about leaving jewelry on deceased family members. So we didn't. We delivered with three witnesses to the funeral home and still jewelry was either lost or stolen! Is there a terrible thing to have to worry about when you are burying your mother? YES! And the funeral homes know that you would have to complete a police report to make a valid claim and know the family is unlikely to do this during a funeral service!
