my wife and family go to this dr I've been a few times with my wife for appointments and have gone in the exam room no problems, went today for my first appointment as my wife convinced me to come to him for my primary so I did, my wife followed me in as we went to the exam room and I wanted her there, well the nurse decided she didn't want my wife there made me uncomfortable tried to express that to the dr and he negated what I said and didn't care and made her leave the room and I walked out after he wouldnt listen. been t... read more
My husband and I have been patients of Dr. McManus' for years, along with several extended family members. Both him and his awesome team are wonderful, professional, and caring people and he is truly brilliant! He has successfully seen us through many illnesses through the years (being seniors, there have been many) and we can only hope he doesn't retire before we die!
Dr McManus called me by the wrong name multiple times, wrote lies or apparently didn’t actually listen during the 5 mins in the room he spent with me, including saying I was previously treated in a state I have never even visited. Asked me if I went running recently when I have suffered with debilitating chronic pain for over 3 years so no Dr I have not done much running recently as I can barely sit in a chair comfortably for more then 30 mins without a cushion. Do your patients a favor and retire.
The doctor himself and his staff do not comply with masking. Their masks were down around their chins, or with noses deliberately left out. This is simply inexcusable, but was an accurate reflection of the atmosphere of the office - total disregard for the patient. The doctor's bedside manner was arrogant, condescending and dismissive. I was left waiting for about 20 minutes in an exam room as I could hear him and his nurse practitioner gossiping in his office next door.
