Anton De-Vries rented a dump trailer from our company and didn't pay, dodged contact for a few days after return date leading to suspicion. Still will not pay for damages his 'employees' did to the trailer door or the rental. Stay AWAY from this company!
We were also subcontractors that he failed to pay. He has investors and real estate agents in his little scheme as well. Doesnt finish homes, some of them he has subcontractors put their permits in and never allow them to finish for inspections...yet still selling the homes???!!! We have heard from NUMEROUS trades that he shorted them on their money, and people who bought the homes looking up our permits asking why things weren't finished. He never allowed us to finish the jobs, just went ghost and didnt pay us. Stay away!!!
Beware of Anton Devries of Devco Homes & his partners at Port City Capital. They are notorious for not paying their subcontractors. They are making money off the hard work and sweat of others while they sit back and sell houses and cash checks. When it comes time to pay they finger point and blame each other. This is not an isolated incident, there are many subcontractors in the Wilmington area who have completed thousands of dollars of restoration and not been paid a dime. GET YOUR MONEY UPFRONT.
