Based on the positive reviews, I genuinely thought Detroit Heating and Cooling Co. would be a reliable company to work with. Unfortunately, this has turned into one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a “professional” company. Our service request was submitted through American Home Shield, on June 9, 2026. Don't trust this company. Our central air broke down on July 16th, and this company was dispatched through our home warranty. The technician refused to do a standard window or insulation walkthrough. Instead, they tried to force an unapproved equipment size upgrade from our existing 3-ton system to an oversized 4-ton system, claiming massive structural home modifications were required. Great service. Very professional
I had a very disappointing experience with Detro Heating Cooling. I called to request a quote, and the person who answered was extremely rude from the start. She didn’t even bother to take my information and abruptly hung up on me. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially for a business trying to gain new customers. Based on this interaction alone, I would not recommend them.
