Had a great tour on one of the Navy Whale boats. The Captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. Learned a lot about Gig Harbor and the history of the Tacoma Narrows bridges. Along with seeing lots of wildlife (bald eagles, harbor seals, and giant sea lions), we got to see Salmon Beach, a unique waterfront Tacoma neighborhood only accessible by hiking or boat.
Super trip out to th Narrows bridge. Then to point defiance. Captain was very in formative. Boat was safe with plenty of room.
We had a great experience on the afternoon boat tour. I had a 1 year old with me and this was no problem for the super friendly crew. Interesting local information and history as well as sightings of eagles, otters and seals.
It was my brother’s 70th birthday with lots of family members. The captain was friendly, eco-responsible and knowledgeable. My favorite part was learning about the giant octopus under the bridge.
