Great place to get away! New updates with a New A-Frame unit right on the Tuckasegee River great for fishing, disc golf course on site, and many more adventures in the Smokies. *** Nicest bath house I've also seen in a long time. Solar polar available and Yurt units have electricity. *** Tent camping also available. *** 5 minutes from Western Carolina University, City Center and the Sylva/ Dillsboro. *** Also in Dillsboro nearby is a canoe / kayak and guide business.
Such an AMAZING trip me and my boyfriend had. We are from Florida so have been eager to get to the mountains for a relaxing break, and destination outdoors did just that and so much more. From the perfect yurt we stayed in, with a fantastic view, to the acres of mountains to explore and enjoy. We stayed in a yurt for the first time and it was amazing. The view was gorgeous, and the yurt itself was cozy and comfortable. I was honestly a little nervous that with only canvas we wouldn’t do well in the weather, but the heater worked great—nights dropped into the low 20s and we stayed warm. The shared bath space was also a pleasant surprise: well kept, warmed, and thoughtfully maintained.
