Worst experience ever. It's like a cattle call in there. Mother was not observed coming out of anesthesia. She suffered rib damage hematoma intubated incorrectly right foot numb for 8 weeks and still numb. Ovarian vein bulging requires surgery. Now entire body from head to toe is in pain. We are terrified of her life. Spinal surgeon said she probably suffer nerve damage during intubation and incorrectly handling her body moving her from table.
cataract surgery went great. Girl putting the IV in was the WORST of my life. The single most painful and absurd. She stuck a large needle with stinging lidocaine in, pulled it out and then stuck in the IV and kept wiggling it around. A blind man could find my veins, It had to be pulled out and put in the crook of my arm. My friend with me, said OMG that's the same girl that gave me a bad IV. 6 days later I have a massive bruise and redness on my hand. If could give 10 stars for destin surgery center I would, the staff here is top notch starting from check in to the rns and Dr's the most caring ,professional loving staff, they turn a difficult situation into a loving one. Thank you
I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy today and felt compelled to share my experience. All of the staff were lovely from the receptionist to the nurses. This was the first time I've ever been offered lidocaine for an IV. Very kind and caring staff.
