New Patient I had an appointment with Dr. W last week and was very satisfied with my exam and information he provided. I would definitely recommend him. But the office workers has a lot to be said. The worker that checks you out needs to take some quality classes. She has no customer service abilities at all. I personally would say she is rude. Please don't ask her a question !! Terrible terrible terrible service. Starting with the staff; both locations have some of the rudest people I have ever met in a professional setting. They are very unprofessional, they do not handle questions well and they are very condescending. They schedule appts, give you a card and when you return a week later, your appt is nonexistent. They are aggressive with scheduling surgeries and they do not listen to your concerns. The doctors, same as the above. So not kid friendly! The staff member that initially called my son and I to the back was super rude. We all know a 7 year old is going to ask questions and is going to move around a bit. The doctor was very dry. The front desk clerk snapped and said I must have made an appointment elsewhere because she couldn't pull my benefits. I told her I haven't been to an eye appointment in 2 years. I will not be returning to this office.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Schaffer. On the day of my appointment, I checked in and one of the receptionist says that Dr. Schaffer doesn't come in until the afternoon, even though my appointment is at 9:00. Few minutes later, she says she called him and that he's coming after all. 45 minutes later, I ask again and the tech says he isn't coming but she'll do a vision check on my eyes because that's what he told her to do on the phone. I have had some bad experiences with eye care in the past but this was the worst. I went to them a month before I was to go on vacation to give myself plenty of time to get new glasses and contacts to take with me. Long story short, its been 2 months, 3 failed attempts at new glasses, 2 failed attempts to fit me with contacts and 1 staff member that tried to tell me that this was as good as I was going to get because of the frames I chose. The staff was rude and I was rushed through my appointment. Also, I showed up to my appointment on time, but I had to wait a very long time until the doctor saw me.

Although Dr. Wertheimer is very pleasant and efficient, did not like the front office staff. From the moment I walked in till the moment I left the front office was very unprofessional to the fact they complained about patients in front of patients and made me feel as though I was interrupting their day and all looking as if they just rolled out of bed(appearance of office staff could use some work).
