So the internet can be a tricky place, you hear horror stories from people getting scammed, or just not happy with the company they chose, so you can imagine how hesitant i was picking a company to do our landscaping when i decided to go "out" of the neighborhood known companies to try and get something different. We bought our house in Southampton in May 2015 and before we knew it we were involved in a total gut renovation both inside and out. We engaged Dan Steigerwald (Designscapes)to handle the landscaping design work and he did a tremendous job. We were not really sure what we wanted or what we could do given there is a pond on the property and thus 'wet land' issues were going to play a role. We hired Designscapes to: 1 - Replace our driveway and patio 2 - Install new walkways 3 - Replace our front and back steps 4 - Install an irrigation system 5 - Regrade the property, put down sod and create planting beds. We had an initial meeting with Designscapes, giving them a rough idea of what we wanted. Next week they had crafted a fantastic design plan for us with a budget, time estimate and estimated start date. They included some suggestions that we didn't even think about.
