One of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. This was my first—and will be my last—purchase from the DWR Outlet. I bought a Herman Miller Chair and discovered a mechanical problem after bringing it home. Herman Miller later confirmed that the chair had previously been purchased and returned and had apparently been damaged by the prior owner. None of this was disclosed before I paid. Be aware of faulty items they are selling. I got a “new” Herman miller Aeron chair that came apart while I was moving it into my place. The “new” chair was initially missing a wheel at the store, which should have been my first clue that the item was not new. The seat and the bottom wheel connecting cylinder part came apart as I lifted it to move into my place. Several refurbished Herman Miller Aeron Classic chairs on the floor had $695 price stickers attached directly to the chairs. When I went to purchase one, I was told the stickers were a mistake and that they will go with $1,200 (which wasn't the correct price either), despite multiple chairs displaying the same $695 label. I understand that pricing mistakes can happen. However, when several items display the same price, it's reasonable for customers to rely on those labels. I came into the store today to check out the Herman Miller Embody Gaming Chair and wasn’t completely sure if I wanted to go with the open box option. Vanessa Walker was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. She took the time to go into detail about the chair, explain everything to me, and answer all of my questions. The store and associates are wonderful, but make sure you really understand what "all sales are final" means. I didn't, but I do now. Nice showroom, and the associates are all great. I spent a lot of time there testing chairs. "All sales are final" signs are posted everywhere in the store, the associates will mention it, and the cashier counter has a nice little placard stating it as well.
