I had them do my master bath and kitchen a few years ago. It worked out fine back then. But I went back to them for a small item and didn't get the same experience. To begin with it took weeks to get just an estimate. It took ten weeks in total to fabricate a shelf. I dropped by to find out the person helping me was either out of the office or busy. price kept changing depending upon who you talked to Design Surfaces had a very nice showroom full of the granite and stone countertops we were interested in. My only hesitation with this particular store is that we received three different quotes on the same item from three different sales reps. I initially went to the store, found what I liked and asked for a quote. My husband then stopped in (without me) asked about the very same item and received a different quote (from a different person). We finally went back together ... read more

The template person was rude and had zero people skills. The company contradicts itself on the phone by saying it can take into account old floors/cabinets not being level and that the template maker will point out anything that needs to be fixed. I would put unfinished plywood on top my $7,000.00 cabinets before calling this company back.
