Get directionsJohn and Steffi are such great hosts. My husband and I stayed at desert trails b&b for a weekend, and we could not stop talking about how great it was. John is so knowledgeable about Tucson and gave us great recommendations for activities, dining, and hiking trails. The B&B is super close to the Saguaro National Park so there are a bunch of hiking trails within walking distance of the B&B which was nice. John also made the best breakfasts! Can't say enough about our hosts. John and Steffi are seasoned bed and breakfast operators and in tune with their guests. Steffi makes the best bread I have ever tasted, and John provided us with excellent breakfast treats daily. They are fun and engaging and a wealth of information on the area. The bed was super comfy and sleeping was no problem in the quite peaceful local.
Cottage was very comfortable and loved our 6 nights over Christmas and near enough to a KOA to share activities with relatives. Checking out was a different and very unpleasant experience. Will not longer book ANY hotel, resort, etc. except by direct phone call to employee of selected hotel, etc. Was quoted by a reservation system one total price but on check out found was only 1/2 of what was owed which included extra for breakfasts. Left feeling scammed.|
Lovely, warm, place to stay, particularly if you want to hike in Seguaro East. Our room was large and comfortable. We built a fire in the fireplace. Breakfast was excellent and the owners are great hosts. The building is set amongst beautiful cacti. If you're hiking in Seguaro East, the trailhead is 5 minutes down the very same road! It takes about 20-30 minutes to get to places in the center of town.
John & Steffi are just fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble.
