Called the emergency department to ask if their ER would be the right place or if they have another department they recommend to take someone suffering from substance abuse withdrawals. The woman responded with “well we aren’t a treatment center”. I told her “well I know that. But I’m just calling to see if you guys are capable of helping someone going through a dangerous detox situation” but clearly they are not. 8/2/25 Started my birthday with some amazing news :) spent 5 hours here but it was definitely worth it. The medical team here was very friendly & great, they brought my gf crackers & warm blankets, THANK YOU. A short wait then they get straight to it. Not too crowded & not too long of a wait. Security guards were super cool & professional.
Very disappointed with our experience here. Unfortunately my brother had no choice other than to have his leg surgery here as he came in as a trauma patient. His pain was not well managed almost the entire time he was post op, we had to practically beg the nursing staff to get the trauma team to round on him and make some changes, and even then they were very short with us and said they would come back and never did.
