Last night was my first time at Desert Regional. I went to Eisenhower twice before this, this past week and they basically misdiagnosed me twice which is great. My step mom said I should go to Desert Regional because they are a better ER. So I took a chance and listened to my step mom and I am so grateful that I did. I was discharged about an hour ago and really wish I was admitted instead, as I'm scared to be home alone with these side and abdominal pains. My heart rate was over 100, and I was still discharged. Every time I'm there, I'm told everything is okay when I absolutely do not feel fine at all. I've been having real health scares that worry me. On top of that, not a single nurse removed my IV needle; I had to remove it myself at home.
The old Caucasian lady at the check-in area during the day shift is extremely narrow-minded, rude, and condescending. She had the audacity to tell me my PCP needs to take care of me, began to read off all my visits, was very rude, and proceeded to mock me to the other check-in person as I sat in front of her in the lobby. She is just a horrible individual.
DON’T GO HERE! THEY SEND ALL INCORRECT MEDICAL RECORDS OFF SHORE!
The emergency department at Desert Regional is extremely unprofessional and unclean. My dad was transported there by ambulance, which I didn’t understand since we live in Palm Desert. When we arrived, the staff couldn’t even find my dad in their system, it took three people to locate his information. Once he was finally checked in, I went in to see him and asked two nurses near his room for a sanitary wipe to clean the bed handles and his hands, as the room looked dirty.
