I called the central phoenix location yesterday to make an appointment and was told I could not transfer providers as I am a patient of Dr. Atia. She moved from the north phoenix location to Mesa. I told her that I live in north phoenix and don't want to drive to Mesa. I was told it's their policy, and I cannot transfer providers. She told me to call the Mesa location. So, I called to resolve the fact that Dr. Atia moved to this location, and I live in Phoenix. I talked to the office manager. Instead of helping me, she argue... read more

Sitting in the waiting room, one, very easily, can hear the receptionist providing instructions to a new patient. The receptionist was very loud and people sitting in the waiting room could hear, clearly, why a new patient’s visit was about. One gets to know who is getting an endoscopy, or colonoscopy. These are HIPAA violations.

Staff wouldn’t even speak to me after they found out I had two insurances. As if they weren’t alerted prior. No next steps no recommendations just kicked me out the door after my doctor gave me a referral to come here. Arizona Digestive Health could use some training on how to treat patients like people and actually help people. Billing can’t charge one of my insurances? Has to be both? Just incredibly off put by how rude they were about it all.

I have been suffering for many years. Finally went and saw Laurie Peterson at Arizona Digestive health. She was very knowledgeable and luckily knew about my health challenges. Many doctors just stare blankly when I mention histamine intolerance. After many tests we were able to get to the root cause of my issues, celiac disease. I will forever be grateful for this! Laurie is very knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Went there due to having family history of colon cancer and polyps. A colonoscopy was ordered and instead of preventive care it was ordered as diagnostic. That part is not entirely their fault though because they just go off of what was ordered. However, took 4 weeks for this appointment and you would think this paperwork would be sorted out and billed correctly prior. Especially before patients do the prep and spend a day and a half on the toilet. Tried to charge 1500 dollars. Front desk lady ... read more
