Excellent management---attentive to the patient's family and meets the patient needs. Recently, My mom developed a Stage 3 pressure ulcer and needs extra special care. I truly appreciate Bertha, who works the night shift, for taking such good care of my mom. She always keeps my mom clean and comfortable and treats her with care and compassion. Bertha is an excellent staff member, and I am very grateful for everything she does for my mom. She truly deserves a five-star review!

I visited a resident on most Sundays at Desert Cove nursing home during lunchtime. This Sunday the resident I was visiting and I went to the dining room a few minutes before noon. Other than the table clothes on the tables, the dining room was not prepped for dining. Kitchen doors were closed and the residents just sat there. It was a depressing sight. Waited many times 1/2 hour or more while having run out of water, waiting and waiting for medications and diaper changes while the red light outside the room is on before someone comes. I've had 11 surgeries and this experience should be named a nightmare! A nursing home like this one that doesn't have enough employees should close immediately!
