Signed me up without me agreeing to it and somehow managed to charge my card for months. Of course you can't cancel on their website. Went through customer service and who knows what will happen. I'm out $300.
I have been a loyal Descript user for years and built my entire podcast editing workflow around the platform. I have always appreciated how innovative it was and even recommended it, along with SquadCast, to more than 50 of my podcast clients. Unfortunately, Descript’s new pricing model has made it impossible for many independent creators like me to continue using it. Eeeesh. Wish I would have read all the negative reviews before signing up. Misleading sign-up process got me signing up for a year. Requested refund, even with the promise of staying on as a monthly customer. Refused.. even why I requested only being refunded for 6 months. Refused. Clearly all they care about is the money. Beware. Also, Adobe now has text based editing so this service, which was kind of dissapointing and glitchy to begin with, is likely on its last legs....
Very disappointing customer service and subscription cancellation process - where I was charged fees despite timely cancellation.
