We hired Des Moines Steel Fence 9 years ago to put up an 8' tall cedar fence along the back of our property. A couple days ago we had a rain storm and 6 of the 8 sections of fencing fell down along with the posts! The 4x4s had rotted away at the bottom and snapped right off at ground level. I was told by the office that they use green treated 4x4s on cedar fences because using cedar 4x4s are too expensive.
