I was going there for 20+ years, before Dr. K even showed up. They now want over $100 just to reserve an appointment. Profit over compassion. My 10 yr old St. Bernard went there since he was a puppy. She refused to see him without the deposit and i only had $50 at the time to put down (the old rate). I was declined an appointment and ended up going to Londonderry Animal Hosp, and they were great. Will not return to Derry Animal Hosp. Profit over compassion doesn't sit well with me.
I took my dog to this establishment for the first time on 9/13/19. I found it really odd that my dog was taken out of the room and examined by the vet without me being present. As a first time client I had never even met the vet prior to the exam. The vet came in to explain her findings and make recommendations about my dog. She seemed caring and knowledgeable, so I did not really think any more about the visit. While the Vet is very nice, her staff leaves a lot to be desired. Was overprescribed medications that we didn't need by almost $200. Vet bill was $150 last year, this year was almost $400. Was prescribed 2 meds for fleas because the vet asst lied and said that Sentinel Spectrum did NOT kill fleas. Then I was charged an extra $50 to cover the 2lbs he was over the limit of one pill.
