Everything was smooth from the beginning to the end. Everyone was very professional and everything was explained every step of the way. Derrick Whitfield was available anytime I had a question or just didn't understand how the process was coming along. Southern Trust Mortgage made my first time home buying process carefree and less overwhelming.

While Derrick is nice he failed to go over the terms of our agreement with us, and we ended up paying way more at closing than we had originally agreed upon. Had we known this, we would not have go through with the home purchase. The whole loan process was long and over complicated. We were told weeks later that we were missing items and they kept asking for the same documents over and over again. I have bought a home before and it was not this hard.

Derrick and his team were great! Answered all of our questions and kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. Truly enjoyed how they were willing to explained everything during our first home purchase!
