I have gone to APDerm for the past 15 years, for facial reconstructive procedures. My appointment is every 3 months. My last appointment was January 2026. At my last appointment I was told they would contact me for my next appointment by March 2026.. My dermatologist Marla Angermeier has retired, and Jason Gagnon MD took over for her. I have mixed feelings about this place - I really enjoy the staff and my doctor, Dr. Chai, are all great. Professional and personable and Dr. Chai did a great job treating my issues. However, it was very expensive for me to receive treatment here. They did not inform me of the cost upfront due to how insurance works. And I ended up receiving 3 bills for about $120 each — plus a $50 copay each visit — so I ended up spending over $600 here in just 3 visits. I recently saw Dr. Sandy Chai for a full body skin exam. She was very thorough and also provided good education and recommendations throughout the exam. In addition, Dr. Chai was also very empathetic - terrific bedside manner. My entire experience from arrival to departure was pleasant and comforting. Very kind and well-trained staff.
Dr. Angermeier is so skilled and so good at what she does. I am so sad that she is retiring. She is a credit to the profession. A true professional, artist, expert, and lovely human too. It has been my pleasure to have her as my doctor for the past 20+ yrs.
The Dr. And staff were very nice. Dr.Leonard answered my questions thoroughly. I would strongly recommend AP DERM to anyone in need of a dermatologist.
