I spent 5 months in excruciating pain from a herniated disc in my back. I tried EVERY method to rid myself of it so I wouldn’t have to endure back surgery! Luckily, I got Dr. Orton’s name from a physician I worked with. I met with Dr. Orton, he was kind, gentle, a great listener and he explained what the surgery would entail, he was meticulous! I would never recommend Dr Orton. Between him and pain management I'm lucky to be here. I had a major back fusion done about 4 years ago. I knew something was wrong stright out of surgery, but Dr Orton told me it was healing pain. Well it wasn't and I knew it. I put up with the pain for 2 years till I couldn't take it anymore. I could not hardly even get out of bed and pain management just kept giving me pain meds and muscle relaxers. I finally got to go to a spine doctor in Chicago.
