In response to review by Jacob G.(Brothers G---- Grass Co) his truck-a 1989 International 4900-had pistons, liners, rod/main bearings, thermostat, & head gasket replaced in 10/2008. 4 mos later (Feb 2009) he complained of high oil use - engine was inspected - no signs of oil use were found to validate claim. 8 mos later (Oct 2009) at end of warranty period-he claimed high oil use again. Dependable Diesel failed me my experience has been horrible. we paid for a full engine rebuild to the tune of five thousand dollars only to have the engine burn a gallon of oil per week. after SIX months of warranty requests Joe finally called me back and has had my truck for two weeks and hasn't even started to fix it!!! every time I call I am met with attitude by his wife/ secretary. in the mean time i am loosing time and money on my own work. all i want is my truck back and working

If it's good enough for police and ambulance... When we need service on a diesel engine, we will use Dependable. Their lot is always full of vehicles that HAVE TO be ready to roll. Have seen a SWAT team van, police cars, and ambulances in for service. If it's good enough for police and ambulance, it's good enough for us.
