After making an appointment for material, over a week in advance, I received a call one day before it was to be delivered stating that "Dan and Wayne did not feel that my delivery was a priority". Apparently delivering 2 loads of material 3 miles was too inconvenient. I was told it could be delivered the following week, but I had already scheduled equipment for dirt work with expectation that my delivery would arrive when I originally scheduled it.
Confronted this driver today after he blew his horn at me for two blocks on highway 20. He pulled a pistol out of his truck and told me "You hafto do the SPEED LIMIT on hwy 20" Truck was losing parts all over the highway. I left with no bullet holes. It was a dang nice 6 -axle truck; perhaps the driver just had a bad day.
I truly believe that all of these paving companies around Idaho are inept at their job. They get these government contracts and then sit on them forever, I've done third-party work with Depatco and I've never seen so many guys in charge that are clueless as to what is going on and what the job scope is. I literally witnessed them purposefully milking a government contract in Blackfoot at the wastewater treatment plant.
